The SIMATIC PLCSIM Advanced TIA Portal software package enables comprehensive simulation of configuration and engineering functions with STEP 7 (TIA Portal) without the need for a physical connection to the S7-1500 / ET 200SP hardware.
It supports creating virtual controllers that emulate S7-1500 and ET 200SP controllers to test their functionality. The optional STEP 7 TIA Portal field tests allow for early failure detection as well as quick validation of functions, also training operators when you can connect an HMI or simulate device HMI with virtual controller.
